In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it’s easy to forget just how deeply we are known and loved by God. But when we take a moment to pause and reflect, we are reminded of the profound truth that Jesus sees us, understands us, and loves us with a love so deep that it surpasses anything we could ever fully comprehend.

This poem is a beautiful, intimate reflection of that truth—a declaration of surrender, trust, and a longing to align our hearts with the will of the One who created us. It speaks of God's tender, unwavering care for us, His call to offer our whole selves in response to His love, and the deep peace that comes from knowing that His Word is faithful and true.

Join me as we explore this beautiful expression of devotion, breaking down each line of the poem with a heart full of gratitude for the Savior who knows us fully, loves us completely, and invites us to say “Yes!” to His perfect plan for our lives: "You search me and know me

You prune me and find me

And there’s never been a moment where You’ve forgotten me

Oh Lord

All You want is everything

All I am

All I have

My innermost being You’ve formed

And it’s all Yours

All Yours

Before You ask me of anything

Lord, it’s a Yes!

My greatest desire is to respond "yes!" to my King

You are exactly who You say You are

We take You at You Word" <3 "You search me and know me

You prune me and find me

And there’s never been a moment where You’ve forgotten me"

One of the most profound aspects of our relationship with Jesus is how deeply He knows us. He doesn’t just know the surface-level things—our likes, dislikes, and personality traits—but He knows the deepest parts of us, the things we hide, the thoughts we fear to acknowledge, and even the desires of our hearts that we haven’t fully understood yet. And still, He loves us. That is the beauty of God’s omniscient love: He knows us fully and loves us completely.

When He “searches” us, it’s not with a sense of judgment or condemnation, but with deep, tender care. Like a gardener who carefully inspects each vine, making sure it is well-watered and nourished, God searches us to refine us. He prunes us, not because we are “broken,” but because He sees the potential within us—like a tree that needs pruning in order to bear more fruit. Every branch that He cuts away is meant to make us stronger, more fruitful, and more aligned with His purpose.

And the best part? There’s never been a moment where He has forgotten us. Never once. No matter how far we wander, no matter the distance or difficulty, His eyes are always on us. He sees us even when we feel lost, and He’s always gently calling us back to Himself. What a comfort it is to know that, no matter what, we are never forgotten by the One who created us.

"Oh Lord

All You want is everything

All I am

All I have

My innermost being You’ve formed

And it’s all Yours

All Yours"

There is something deeply humbling about this realization: that God desires everything from us. This is not a demand for control or a selfish request—far from it. Rather, this is a call to surrender and trust. God wants all that we are, because He knows that when we give Him our whole selves—our hearts, our dreams, our flaws, our weaknesses, and our strengths—He is able to do something far more beautiful than we could ever imagine.

When we say "All I am, All I have," we are acknowledging that everything in our lives—our time, talents, treasures, even our struggles—belongs to Him. We are not owners of anything; we are simply stewards of what He has entrusted to us. This is a radical act of trust. But it is also an invitation to experience true freedom. When we let go of the need to control every detail of our lives and surrender it to Jesus, we are invited into a deeper, richer relationship with Him, knowing that He holds everything in His hands.

We are His masterpieces, intricately designed by the Creator of the universe. The unique blueprint of our lives, our desires, our struggles—He formed all of it. And because He formed us, we can trust that He knows exactly what He’s doing. There is peace in offering all that we are to the One who knows us better than we know ourselves. He holds our hearts and our futures, and it’s all for His glory.

"Before You ask me of anything

Lord it’s a Yes!

My greatest desire is to respond yes to my King"

Imagine standing before a King, the King of the universe, and offering your immediate, heartfelt response: “Yes, Lord! Yes to Your will. Yes to Your plans. Yes to everything You desire for my life.” There is such a sweet surrender in this. Before He even asks us to do anything, we are already saying “Yes” to Him. We’re giving Him the authority over our lives, trusting that whatever He asks will be good and right.

This is the heart of a servant—a heart that doesn’t hesitate, doesn’t hold back, but eagerly wants to please the One who is so worthy of our trust. This “Yes!” is a declaration that we choose His way above our own, His plan above our desires. And in this choice, we discover the deepest joy of all. Because when we say “Yes” to Jesus, we are saying “Yes” to the fullest life imaginable. His will for us is always better than anything we could dream up on our own.

It’s not about a perfect “Yes!” or never making mistakes—it's about a posture of the heart that desires to be aligned with the heart of Jesus. Our greatest joy and fulfillment come when we respond “Yes!” to the King of Kings, trusting Him with every detail of our lives, knowing that His plans are always for our good and His glory.

"You are exactly who You say You are

We take You at Your Word"

There’s something incredibly reassuring in knowing that Jesus is exactly who He says He is. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. He is the Savior, the Redeemer, the Healer. And what’s even more beautiful is that we don’t have to guess who He is or question His character. He has revealed Himself to us in His Word, and He has proven His faithfulness time and time again.

When we say, “We take You at Your Word,” we are choosing to trust every promise He has made. We are choosing to believe that His Word is true and trustworthy, no matter what our circumstances look like. We believe in His goodness, His love, and His ability to fulfill every promise. This kind of trust is the foundation of our relationship with Him. It’s not about blind faith, but about a deep knowing that He is exactly who He says He is, and He will do exactly what He has promised.

Taking Him at His Word is about resting in the certainty that He will never leave us nor forsake us. His promises are unwavering, and His love is unshakable. As we continue to grow in our relationship with Jesus, we come to understand that we can rely on Him with all that we are. What a sweet peace this brings to our hearts.
